"I had Michael strip and re-wallpaper a bathroom in my office. There had been several leaks and the walls were breaking up under the paper. Although there were some unexpected problems with the walls Michael managed to solve the problem and did a wonderful job with the wallpaper. I was also looking to redecorate my entire apartment a few weeks later and so I called Michael in. He took time to estimate the correct amount of wallpaper and  helped select the colors for each room  even creating custom mixes on the spot. "After I moved in September, 2008 into the co-op apartment I had purchased, I hired Michael Mahoney to paint my two-bedroom apartment. I found him in the Yellow Pages Telephone Directory, called him up, and arranged an interview. I was very impressed by his manner and by his display of knowledge. I told him that the work had to be finished within a week of the starting date. He gave me an estimate—a reasonable one, and I engaged him to do the work. Inasmuch as I thought, after meeting him, that I could safely put my trust in him, I required no written contract. And indeed, his word sufficed. The job was completed expeditiously and, although I made some belated changes in the colour scheme that required repainting, the cost of the job was close to the price agreed upon.
